As a boy, Dan loved to watch “The Incredible Hulk.” Dan’s father did not. “Let’s watch something we can all watch,” he’d say and flip the channel to “This Old House.” This experience taught Dan two important lessons: 1) when you have your own kids, get a second TV, and 2) every industry has its own language. Today Dan often tips his hat to Bob Vila, who taught him to speak fluent “construction.” But if a client pushes him too far or skips out on a bill? “Don’t make him angry. You wouldn’t like him when he’s angry.”
